Recently, in the ongoing Women's World Cup 2025 game between India women and Australia women, the hosts smashed a mammoth total of 330 against their counterparts, which turned out to be the highest ever score for the Indian women's team in World Cup history. Therefore, in this article, we will look at the highest scores by Indian Women in women's World Cup history.

5) 281/4 vs Australia, Derby, 2017

At fifth position on this list is India's 281 against England women in the 2017 Women's World Cup group stage. It was the second match of the 2017 Women's World Cup, played in Derby. India women, after batting first, gathered 281 for three after the conclusion of their 50 overs, with Smriti Mandhana scoring 90, while Punam Raut (86) and skipper Mithali Raj (71) helped India post a dominating total on the board.

In reply, the English women could only get to 246, as they were bowled out in 47.3 overs, handing the Indian women a win by 35 runs in this World Cup encounter.

4) 281/3 vs England, Derby, 2017

This fourth-highest total ever by the Indian women's team was smashed against the Australian women in the second semi-final of the same 2017 Women's World Cup. Again, this game was played in Derby, but in this encounter, the score was put up single-handedly by big-hitting Harmanpreet Kaur. The right-hander played 115 deliveries, smashed 20 boundaries, alongside seven huge maximums to rack up a mammoth World Cup best of 171 not out, as her runs came at a strike rate of 148.69.

Her score was enough for India to demolish the opposition lineup, as they put up 281 for 4 after 42 overs, with the game shortened due to rain. In reply, the Australian team, despite trying their level best, could reach 245 in 40.1 overs, as they were bowled out, handing the Indian women's team a 36-run victory in this second semi-final, following which the Women in Blue qualified for the finale.

3) 284/6 vs West Indies, Brabourne, 2013

The third-highest score in the Indian women's tally in Women's World Cup history came in 2013 against the West Indies women. This game, the very first match of the 2013 Women's World Cup, played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, saw the Women in Blue smash 284 for 6 after 50 overs, as opener Thirush Kamini's century alongside Punam Raut's 72 helped their cause.

In reply, the West Indies women were cleaned up for just 179, with a collective bowling effort helping India to a mammoth 105-run victory in the opening World Cup encounter. Kamini played a brilliant innings, consuming 146 deliveries, where she found 11 boundaries and a maximum, helping India put up a gigantic total on the board.

2) 317/8 vs West Indies, Hamilton, 2022

The second-highest total in Indian women's tally was also against West Indies, this time in the 2022 Women's World Cup in New Zealand. The tenth match of the Women's World Cup 2022 saw India women go up against West Indies women in Hamilton, where the Women in Blue displayed complete dominance, as Smriti Mandhana (123) and Harmanpreet Kaur (109) guided India to 317 for 8 after 50 overs.

It was such dominance that the West Indies women were thrashed all over the park. In reply, they were cleaned up for just 162, with Sneh Rana picking three crucial wickets, and in the end, they won the game very comfortably by 155 runs, claiming a crucial victory in another World Cup encounter.

1) 330/10 vs Australia, Vizag, 2025, Today*

The highest-ever total by the Indian women's team in any World Cup game came in the ongoing encounter against Australia women in the 2025 Women's World Cup game in Visakhapatnam. Batting first, the Indian women's team were off to a flyer, thanks to Pratika Rawal (75) and Smriti Mandhana (80), as India had an outstanding 155-run stand for the first wicket.

Further, there were contributions from the middle order as India somehow reached 330 runs after 48.5 overs, before being bowled out with 7 deliveries to spare. Despite that, they managed to put up a daunting total, indeed, their best ever in Women's World Cup history, all thanks to this magnificent batting effort where runs were galore.

With some games left for Indian women in this Women's World Cup, it will now be interesting to see if they ever manage to surpass this total in this edition or in the following editions.
