One of the most talked-about leagues in the country, the Delhi Premier League (DPL), has made a name for itself with some staggering performances from some outstanding players. In the short history of the league, there have been several records broken while a tremendous amount of quality cricket has been seen.
In the recently concluded game between the East Delhi Riders and Outer Delhi Warriors, the highest score was chased in the league's history. Therefore, in this article, we will have a look at the highest successful chases in the Delhi Premier League.
5. West Delhi Lions: 186 vs South Delhi Superstarz, 2025
At number five on this list is the fifth-highest score chased by the West Delhi Lions in the year 2025, in the seventh match of this ongoing league, as the game happened at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The South Delhi Superstarz batted first and posted 185 runs on the board after 20 overs, with the skipper Ayush Badoni scoring a fluent 48 off 25 deliveries, while Kunwar Bidhuri scored a brilliant 42 off 27 balls.
In return the West Delhi Lions battered the opposition with some real carnage, as openers Krish Yadav (67) and Ankit Kumar (96) took the Lions home comfortably in just 15.4 overs, as they won with eight wickets to spare. The game was remembered for a face-off between Ankit and bowler Digvesh Singh Rathi, as the duo had a face-off, and eventually, the batter won.
4. East Delhi Riders: 192 vs South Delhi Superstarz, 2024
The East Delhi Riders chased the fourth-highest score in the Delhi Premier League, as they won comfortably by chasing 192 in 17.5 overs back in the year 2024, in the eighth game of this tournament. South Delhi Superstarz batted first and scored 191 on the back of opener Priyansh Arya (53) and Dhruv Singh (50), taking them to a par total.
However, in reply, the East Delhi Riders were on fire, as Sujal Singh scored a powerful 63 off just 32 deliveries, while Hardik Sharma's 43 took the Riders home in a relaxed manner, as they won with 13 deliveries and seven wickets.
3. South Delhi Superstarz: 198 vs Purani Delhi-6, 2024
The third-highest score in the DPL was chased in the very first match of the inaugural season, that is, the first match of the 2024 season, played between South Delhi Superstarz and Purani Delhi-6. The Purani Delhi-6 side batted first and scored 197 in their 20 overs, with Arpit Rana (59) and Vansh Bedi scoring 47 not out off 19 deliveries, as they took Purani Delhi-6 to a very pleasing total.
Nonetheless, in reply, the South Delhi side were on absolute fire, with both Priyansh Arya and skipper Ayush Badoni scoring 57 each, as they chased the score down with five deliveries and three wickets to spare in what turned out to be a thrilling opening encounter, to open the league. This game turned out to be a level-setter for this high-profile league, as the standards were set in this game already.
2. West Delhi Lions: 209 vs East Delhi Riders, 2025
At number two is the second-highest successful chase, achieved by West Delhi Lions of 209 against East Delhi Riders, in the fourth match of this season, 2025. The East Delhi side scored 208 after skipper Anuj Rawat scored a fiery 73 not out off 38 deliveries, while there were decent contributions from Arpit Rana and Mayank Rawat.
209 looked a meagre score in the end, as the Lions chased the score in just 17.3 overs, where Ayush Doseja scored 84 and opener Krish Yadav 62 proved enough for the side batting second, as they chased down the target with 2.3 overs and seven wickets remaining in their tally.
1. East Delhi Riders: 232 vs Outer Delhi Warriors, 2025
Even the previous total was bettered when East Delhi Riders hunted down a mammoth total of 232 against Outer Delhi Warriors in the recently concluded 12th match of this season. The Outer Delhi side scored 231 on the back of opener Priyansh Arya, who played a sublime 111-run knock off 56 deliveries with nine maximums and seven boundaries to his name.
In response, the Outer Delhi side, who were sitting with ease, lost their composure when the East Delhi batters rocked them with some powerful hitting throughout their innings. Opener Arpit Rana scored 79 off 45 deliveries, while the real hero of the game was Anuj Rawat, scoring 84 off just 35 deliveries with nine maximums, taking East Delhi home with four deliveries and five wickets to spare in the end. This game saw Arya’s ton being bettered by two classy knocks that wrote history in this young league.
