Nicholas Pooran made headlines once again with a stunning knock for Lucknow Super Giants in their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The high-octane clash was played at the Rajiv Gandi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday.

After Lucknow's disciplined bowling restricted SRH to a modest total of 190, they lost Aiden Markram early in the powerplay which led to the arrival of Pooran. The dynamic left-hander wasted no time, launching into attack from the very first ball, completing his half-century in just 18 balls.

He went on to score 70 off 26 deliveries and put Lucknow in a strong position in the chase. Notably, Pooran’s fifty against SRH was the second-fastest for the Lucknow franchise. On that occasion let’s see the top five fastest fifties by LSG players in IPL history.

5. 21 Balls by Kyle Mayers vs CSK in Chennai, 2023

Kyle Mayers, the destructive left-handed opening batter, finds himself at the fifth place in the list of fastest to score a fifty for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL history. He played a pivotal role at the top of the order for the Lucknow franchise in the 2023 edition.

One of the best innings played by him came against Chennai. Chasing 218 at Chepauk, Mayers gave LSG a flying start, scoring a 21-ball half-century, marking one of the fastest half-century in the franchise’s history. 

4. 20 Balls by Kyle Mayers vs PBKS in Mohali, 2023

In what was a run fest in Mohali, batting first, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) posted a massive total of 257 runs against Punjab Kings. Kyle Mayers was one of the major contributors, as the destructive left-hander launched an explosive surge early in the powerplay.

Mayers completed his half-century in just 20 balls, setting the tone for what went on to be a six hitting carnival and helped LSG to set an intimidating target for the Kings, which eventually got defended successfully as well.

Nicholas Pooran has been a consistent match-winner for Lucknow Super Giants since joining the team, with his incredible ability to hit sixes being a major reflection of his game. One of his most memorable performances came in Mumbai, where he dismantled the Mumbai Indians' bowling attack back in 2024.

Coming in to bat at the halfway mark when LSG were struggling to up the scoring rate, Pooran turned the game around with a blistering 19-ball half-century. He went on to score 75 off 29 balls, propelling Lucknow to a formidable total, which they successfully defended.

The Sunrisers' home fans were silenced by Nicholas Pooran’s six-hitting mayhem at the Uppal Stadium. While chasing 191, Lucknow lost opener Aiden Markram early in the powerplay, forcing Nicholas Pooran in the middle.

The southpaw wasted no time and took the bowlers into cleaners, reaching his half-century in just 18 balls. His blistering knock provided LSG with the perfect foundation for taking down the target and ensured they were in the driving seat.

Nicholas Pooran is featured in the list once again, this time with a stunning 15-ball half-century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru back in 2023. Chasing a challenging target of 213 in Bengaluru, Lucknow found themselves in trouble, losing three early wickets in the powerplay.

Then Pooran joined KL Rahul at the crease and launched a counter attack, turning the game on its head. His explosive approach reignited the chase, putting the pressure back on the home side as Lucknow recovered from their early blows and eventually win the match.
