Team India pulverized UAE by 93 balls remaining to start off their 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup campaign on a near-perfect note. The outcome marked India’s biggest, and one of the biggest win margins overall in the history of T20I cricket.

Celebrating India’s triumphant start to the decorated tournament, here is a look at instances of their three biggest win margins in T20Is, in terms of number of balls remaining.

3. India 64 balls remaining vs Bangladesh, Hangzhou 2023

The Indian team annihilated Bangladesh by nine wickets and with 64 balls remaining in the first semifinal of the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou. Left-arm spinner Sai Kishore unfurled the spell of the game with exceptional figures of 3-12 from his four overs. Fellow spin master Washington Sundar also picked up a couple of key wickets in his spell of 2-15, while premier paceman Arshdeep Singh, part-timer Tilak Varma, and spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Shahbaz Ahmed chipped in with a wicket each to restrict Bangladesh to just 96-9 in their 20 overs.

In response, India lost opener Yashavi Jaiswal for a four-ball duck in the first over of the run-chase to Ripon Mondol. His captain and opening partner Ruturaj Gaikwad, however, went on to slap 40* runs from just 26 balls with four fours and three huge sixes. Tilak Varma at number three also blasted a 26-ball 55* with two boundaries and six sixes as the duo shared an unbeaten 97-run partnership to steer India into the finals in just 9.2 overs.
