Sanju Samson is one of the most under-rated wicket-keeper batters from India. Since making an international debut in 2015, he has been in and out of the team for the last decade solely because of the issues related to inconsistency and team composition.

Sanju Samson began his IPL journey with KKR after being picked at a base price of INR 8 lakh. However, he did not get an opportunity to showcase his skills. In 2013, Rajasthan Royals bought Samson for INR 10 lakh, marking the beginning of his impactful journey with the franchise.
His price went up to INR 4 crore from 2014-15 before he entered the auction again in 2016. DC bagged him for INR 4.2 crore in that year’s auction and Samson played two following seasons for the team.
