Yuzvendra Chahal has been a match-winner in the IPL and has shown that throughout his IPL career, emerging as the x-factor for RCB and RR with his crafty leg-breaks. He has now levelled with another great, Dwayne Bravo as the leading wicket-taker in the history of the IPL with 183 wickets in just 143 matches. Bravo, on the other hand, has picked 183 wickets in 161 matches which shows the impact Chahal has made in his IPL career.

He started his IPL journey with MI and made his IPL debut in 2013 but he found his solace for RCB and first got into the limelight when he picked 12 wickets in the 2014 season for RCB.

However, Chahal took his game higher in the 2015 season and picked 23 wickets in 15 matches to emerge as RCB's premier bowler. The leggie went from strength to strength from thereon and moved up the ladder briskly with his genuine wicket-taking abilities. The fact that most of his 139 wickets for RCB came on the flat decks at M. Chinnaswamy makes it even special.

The Indian leg-spinner played for RCB till the 2021 season but was not retained for 2022 season. He found a new home in the form of Rajasthan Royals from the 2022 season and straightaway, the leggie showed his class, picking 27 wickets in 17 matches. He was the leading wicket-taker of that season and won the Purple Cap, taking RR to the grand finale of the 2022 season.

In the 2023 season, he has picked 17 wickets in 11 matches so far which included a four-wicket haul against SRH. Bravo is now retired and very soon, we will see Chahal overtaking him to rule the list of the leading wicket-takers in the IPL.
