Young batter Max Holden extends his contract with Middlesex

24-year-old Max Holden, who is a former Under-19 England captain has signed a contract extension with his present club Middlesex, ensuring his stay for at least till the end of 2025. 

The extremely talented southpaw, holds the unique record of being only the fourth batter to hit hundreds in all formats of the game for Middlesex. Holden has played in total of 51 first class matches,  20 List A appearances and 38 T20 appearances scoring over 3,700 runs in all three formats.

On signing his contract extension with Middlesex, Holden commented:

“I’m absolutely delighted to have signed a new contract - Middlesex is quite simply my home. I’m committed to giving my all over the next three years alongside my teammates, to help drive the Club back to where it belongs.”

Holden signed his first contract with the club in 2016 at the tender age of 18. He made his debut for Middlesex against Hampshire in the County Championship in 2013.  Speaking about the youngster's contract extension, Alan Coleman (Middlesex’s Head of Men’s Performance Cricket) commented.

“We are delighted that Max has signed a long-term extension to his contract with Middlesex. He is an impressive young man, who works extremely hard at his game, and challenges himself to improve. He is a pleasure to work with."
