Hardik Pandya achieved career best rank in latest ICC rankings

The star Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya climbed eight positions up to fifth rank in the recently released ICC T20I all-rounder rankings. The hard-hitting all-rounder achieved his career-best fifth rank (167), following his match winning all-round performance against Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup.

In the T20I batting rankings, Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan achieved career-best 2nd rank, with India’s Surya Kumar Yadav dropping one place down to third

Afghanistan opener Hazratullah Zazai has moved up three spots to 14th after his performance against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Zazai’s opening partner Rahmanullah Gurbaz also moved up five spots to 29th after his blistering knock against Sri Lanka (40 off 18) in the Asia Cup. Babar Azam retained his top spot with 810 points.

Rashid Khan eyes No.1 rank

Afghanistan spin duo Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman made improvements in the latest ICC T20I rankings among the bowlers. Rashid has gone up two places to third rank following his three-wicket haul against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup. The 23-year-old also went past New Zealand pace bowler Tim Southee to become the second-highest wicket-taker in men’s T20Is during the win over Bangladesh. 

Ben Stokes makes headlines in the Test rankings

England’s skipper Ben Stokes scored his first test century as captain in the second Test against South Africa last week. He also took 2/17 and 2/30 with the ball which helped England beat South Africa by an innings. As a result, Stokes moved up nine places to 18th position (668) in Test batting rankings.

The England Test skipper moved nine spots to 18th in the batters' rankings, five spots to 38 in the bowlers' rankings, and second on the all-rounders' list.

Elsewhere, Wesley Madhevere climbed 38 positions in ODI batting rankings, following his 72 run knock in the first in the ODI against Australia in Townsville.
