Royal Challengers Bangalore have strengthened their team by bagging the services of swashbuckling keeper-batter Richa Ghosh for 1.9 Crores.

Richa, who set her base price at 50 Lakhs, instantly attracted Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore for a bidding war, that went on for a long time.

However, as the price reached the 1.9 Crore-mark, the Delhi-based franchise pulled out of the race, with the player joining RCB camp for the inaugural Women's Premier League.

Renowned as a clean striker of the ball, Ghosh grabbed a million eyeballs through some sensational hitting right from her international debut.

The dynamic right-hander, who can maul both pace and spin, has amassed 458 runs at an average of 24.10 and a blistering strike rate of 135.50. More importantly, her ability to smash all around the park makes her a huge threat to any kind of opposition.

The player recently impressed the cricket fraternity by playing an extraordinary cameo of 31 runs, guiding India to an emphatic victory over arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday. Thus, besides playing fearless cricket, she exhibited her ability to thrive under immense pressure in this high voltage encounter.

With the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry and Sophie Devine already in their team, RCB have definitely boosted themselves to a whole new level by including Ghosh to their squad.
