When Harleen Deol's name popped up, just one team went after her. It was Gujarat Giants, who decided to bank on the Indian youngster and bought her for INR 40 lakh.

It has been a topsy-turvy start to her international career. Harleen is an elegant middle order batter, but has struggled to cement a permanent place in the Indian white-ball team.

Currently, she is a part of the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup, and despite having ordinary numbers in T20Is, Gujarat have decided to bank on her.

Having played 22 T20I matches for India, Harleen has accumulated 245 runs, at a strike-rate of 89, and an average of 17. These are certainly not promising numbers for a talented player like her.

With a plethora of talent in the Indian team, the pressure to cement a place has taken a toll on her.

Barring Harleen, Indian all-rounder, Pooja Vastrakar has been sold to Mumbai Indians for INR 1,90 crore. Moreover, West Indies' Deandra Dottin has been bought by Gujarat for INR 60 lakh.
