The buzz is on in the IPL 2023 as the Delhi Capitals gear up to take on the Gujarat Titans in Match 7 of the tournament at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The Capitals got off to an abysmal start as they lost the first game against Lucknow Super Giants by a massive margin of 50 runs. They will look to move on from that loss and focus on the upcoming game against the defending champions.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated contest, cricket expert Aakash Chopra weighed in on the changes to the Delhi Capitals' starting XI for the match. According to Chopra, the inclusion of Anrich Nortje could result in a shake-up of the team's overseas players, with Rilee Rossouw or Rovman Powell potentially making way for the South African speedster.

β€œAnrich Nortje might be available for today's match. If he is available, one of Rilee Rossouw or Rovman Powell will have to go out, and Nortje will come in,” said Chopra.

The cricketer-turned-commentator was upbeat about the Protea pacer's potential impact on the Delhi Capitals' bowling prowess, suggesting that his addition would give the team's seam attack a much-needed boost.

In his view, Nortje's skills could prove pivotal in securing wickets for the Delhi Capitals. The expert went so far as to predict that 29-year-old quick could snare at least two wickets in the upcoming match against the Gujarat Titans.

β€œIt would be better if he comes in as the chances of picking up wickets will increase. I feel that if Nortje plays today's match, he will pick up at least two wickets,” added the erstwhile cricketer.

Chopra further offered his take on the Delhi Capitals' other bowling options. While he acknowledged the talent of Khaleel Ahmed and Chetan Sakariya, he cautioned that Mukesh Kumar might struggle with the old ball. The former batter was bullish on the prospects of Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, suggesting that they would be well-suited to exploit the anticipated lack of dew in Delhi.

β€œKhaleel Ahmed is bowling well. Chetan Sakariya can be expensive once in a while. Mukesh Kumar is good with the new ball. The old ball is probably not for him,” concluded Chopra.
