In a remarkable journey from the district SK sports stadium to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) camp in Bangalore, Nasir Lone, the versatile all-rounder from Bandipora in north Kashmir, is poised to make waves in the cricketing world. The medical graduate, often dubbed "Nasir Kohli" for his stellar batting skills, has set his sights on donning the coveted jerseys of both the IPL and the Indian cricket team.

Lone's cricketing odyssey began with the local team BCC, where his fine batting technique and aggressive style quickly earned him recognition. But because he didn't know about professional cricket, he missed the Under-14 and Under-16 seasons. When he came across Raja Waseem, a local cricket player and coach, who guided him towards pursuing his love of the game, fate took a different turn. 


Lone made his under-19 debut for the Jammu and Kashmir team in 2014. He demonstrated his skills in one-day and four-day matches, and his consistent performances earned him a spot in the elite North Zone team. His career was furthered by participation in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he demonstrated his abilities in the one-day and T20 formats.

The turning point in Lone's career came with his participation in the NCA camp in Bangalore, where he honed his skills as an all-rounder. His dedication and talent did not go unnoticed, earning him a spot in the exclusive NCA best all-rounders camp.

As the IPL mini-auction approaches on December 19 in Dubai, cricket enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the fate of Nasir Lone.
