In a recent development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled India's squad for the upcoming ICC Under 19 Men’s Cricket World Cup, set to unfold in South Africa from January 19th to February 11th, 2024. The All-India Junior Selection Committee meticulously curated the team, eyeing success in the 14th edition of the prestigious tournament. This edition will witness 16 teams battling it out in 48 matches for the trophy.

India, a cricket powerhouse at the U19 level, stands as the most successful team, with five titles secured in 2000, 2008, 2012, and 2018. Notably, they clinched the championship in 2022, making them the defending champions, and all eyes will be on this talented squad as they aim for a remarkable back-to-back victory.




This announcement holds particular significance as the U19 World Cup often serves as a stepping stone for the senior team, providing a platform for budding talents to showcase their skills on the international stage. The selected players not only bear the responsibility of defending their title but also have the opportunity to catch the eye of selectors for future senior team call-ups.

Adding to the anticipation, the same U19 squad will showcase their skills in the forthcoming tri-series, pitting India against cricketing powerhouses England and South Africa.
