Team India completed a clean sweep over Afghanistan by beating them in an exciting super over during the 3rd T20I, on Wednesday, January 17, at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Shivam Dube received the prestigious 'Player of the Series (POTS)' award following India's thumping series win. Dube made huge contributions with both bat and ball throughout the series.

Displaying excellence with the bat, he first scored a 40-ball 60 at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, and followed it up with an unbeaten 63 off just 32 balls in the second T20I, contributing to India's 6-wicket win.

The southpaw finished the series as the highest run-getter with 124 runs at an outstanding average of 124.00 and a strike rate of 158.97. He also picked up two wickets.

Meanwhile, Dube had a bit of a rough day in the third match at Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday. With the Indian top order going haywire, everyone counted on Dube to pull them out of trouble, but he could only scrape together one run.

Dube, with 124 runs and 2 wickets, bagged the Player of the Series (POTS) title after being the Player of the Match (POTM) in the first T20I.

However, there was a hilarious mix-up during the post-match awards in the final T20I as Murali Kartik goofed up and called the all-rounder for POTM instead of POTS award.

With just 1 run, the CSK all-rounder wondered how he got Player of the Match (POTM). Karthik figured out his blunder and promptly corrected it, inviting Dube to receive the Player of the Series (POTS) award.

Shivam Dube attributes his batting finesse and finishing flair to the influence of former Indian captain MS Dhoni, with whom he shares the field at Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. Dube believes Dhoni played a pivotal role in honing these skills.
