The clash between India and South Africa in the 2021-2022 series left an indelible mark, marked by a blend of fond and not-so-fond memories. Amidst the battles on the field, the second test in Johannesburg unfolded a dramatic scene that caught the attention worldwide. Jasprit Bumrah, renowned for his composed demeanor, found himself in an uncharacteristic moment of anger, providing a unique twist to the narrative.

It all happened when Jasprit Bumrah, India's lead fast bowler, expressed frustration after Temba Bavuma's shot caused a serious injury to Hanuma Vihari, who was fielding at forward short leg. The Indian batter appeared to be in intense pain before the physio came onto the ground to assess him.

During that moment, a visibly upset Bumrah, standing close to the stump mic, was overheard saying,

'Abhi toh bohot uchhal rahe hain, uchhalne do – ek test match baaki hai abhi – batata hun Cape Town mein inko.' (They're celebrating a lot now, let them celebrate – there's another test match left – I'll show them in Cape Town what we are built of.)"

However, no matter how much they talked, Elgar just kept smirking, smiling, and doing his thing, leaving the visitors even more annoyed. Undeterred, Elgar scored an impressive 96 runs from 188 balls, guiding South Africa to chase down 240 runs with seven wickets in hand.

Worth mentioning, Dean Elgar is in the midst of his farewell series against India. Following this two-match test series, he'll bid adieu to the game and he is doing it in style as he scored 185 runs from 287 balls, frustrating the Indian bowlers, something he's well-known for.
