Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)'s latest recruit Wayne Parnell has begin his stint at the franchise in a dreamy way, striking twice in his first over for the team in Red and Gold. The South African bowling all-rounder first removed Deepak Hooda and followed it with Krunal Pandya's wicket.

In a chase of 213 runs, Lucknow Super Giants have already lost the gun opener Kyle Mayers, Hooda and Pandya inside the first four overs of the chase.

Interestingly, Bangalore have never lost an IPL fixture to the Super Giants.

Parnell, who has earlier played for Delhi and Pune in the IPL, returned to the lucrative league after a long leap of nine years, coming as an injury replacement to England's seamer Reece Topley.

On his RCB debut, the Proteas all-rounder took Hooda's wicket on a perfect left-arm seamer delivery that straightened after pitching on the around off-stump line. The Lucknow batter had a poke at it, but only till the keeper and Dinesh Karthik did the rest.

Two balls later, he pitched a tad fuller delivery to Pandya, who went for a flashy drive and nicked to the keeper.

At the time of writing, Lucknow have lost three wickets but KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis are doing the rebuilding job for the visiting team, with the score reading 43/3 after 7 overs.
