Virat Kohli started the carnage, taking Mark Wood and Avesh Khan to the cleaners, and Faf Fu Plessis continued the onslaught with a calculated assault against the LSG bowlers.
Faf started as a second fiddle to Virat Kohli, and looked scratchy at the beginning, but once Kohli departed for 61, he took the centre stage and became the aggressor in chief.
For the first 13 overs, it felt as if Faf had kept his timing inside the hotel room, but once he broke the shackles, there was no turning back. He even slammed a 115 metre six off Ravi Bishnoi and reached his fifty off the bowling of Mark Wood, with yet another cracking hit over the long-off fence.
This was Faf du Plessis' 27th IPL fifty and the one that the fans at the Chinnaswamy stadium certainly loved.
At the time of writing, RCB are 154 for 1, with Faf du Plessis batting at 53 and Maxwell at 30.
