This exceptional achievement put him in the esteemed company of Anil Kumble and Jim Laker as the only players to achieve this rare feat in the history of Test cricket.

Despite India's strong start in the first innings with Mayank Agarwal's impressive 150 runs, Patel turned the tide with his lethal spin. His first breakthrough came in the 28th over, removing Shubman Gill, and he continued to wreak havoc by dismissing key players like Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli for ducks. Patel's relentless performance culminated in him claiming the final wicket of Mohammed Siraj, completing a perfect 10-wicket haul in just 47.5 overs while conceding 119 runs.
The achievement, however, was bittersweet for Patel as India went on to win the match by a commanding margin of 372 runs. This remarkable feat mirrored the legendary performances of Anil Kumble and Jim Laker, who achieved the same milestone in 1999 and 1956, respectively.

Before him, England's Jim Laker achieved the unprecedented feat by dismissing all 10 Australian batters in an innings, securing a win by an innings and 170 runs.
