On Wednesday, Quetta Gladiators recorded an emphatic victory against Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League. Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi posted a mammoth total of 240, which the Gladiators chased down with ease, riding on a sensational hundred from Jason Roy.

Meanwhile, former New Zealand pacer Simon Doull alleged Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam of playing selfishly during the Zalmi's innings.

While commentating in the game, the cricketer-turned-broadcaster pointed out Babar's slow batting upon nearing his hundred and called him out for prioritising personal milestones over the team.

Here's what Doull Stated

"Rather than putting the team first... the last little while, that's all that been happening. Rather than looking for boundaries, still, so much firepower to come. Hundreds are brilliant, stats are great, but it has to be team first."

Doull seems astute in his assessment as Babar surprisingly dropped his scoring rate after entering the 90s. Although he helped Peshawar Zalmi get off to a flier, the stylish right-hander couldn't maintain his strike rate later.

Despite being a gifted batter, Babar has often been scrutinised for his sub-par strike rate in white-ball cricket. He is definitely consistent, but his strike rate of 127.80 certainly needs to be improved.
