Indian batter, Shubman Gill, took a well-deserved break from the cricketing frenzy to embark on a beguiling sojourn in the enchanting city of Paris.

After the intense World Test Championship (WTC) Final held in London, the Indian cricketers were granted a respite from the sport, prompting Gill to seize the opportunity and pay homage to illustrious Parc des Princes, the home stadium of Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint-Germain.

The prodigious opener found himself at Parc des Princes where he immersed himself in the awe-inspiring aura of the stadium. To commemorate this exceptional visit, PSG bestowed Gill with a coveted number 7 jersey, a symbolic gesture that further solidified the budding cricketer's admiration for the footballing powerhouse.

"Namaste dosto, here's India’s favorite cricketer and PSG fan @ShubmanGill at Parc des Princes," wrote PSG on Twitter.

PSG also shared a video where Gill is seen thanking the club for their wonderful gesture. \

"Hi everyone, this is Shubman Gill here. I want to thank everyone at PSG for having me and Ici c’est Paris!" said the young opener.

Having been immersed in relentless cricketing action across various formats in recent months, Gill embraced the serenity and grandeur of the French capital during his well-deserved vacation. Notably, the talented batsman had graced the iconic Wembley Stadium for the exhilarating FA Cup final clash between Manchester City and their arch-rivals, Manchester United earlier this month.

Moreover, Gill had also taken to his Instagram account to express his congratulations to the triumphant Manchester City stars, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland by posting pictures with them from their treble celebrations. However, due to reasons unknown, the young luminary removed the post.

Meanwhile, after a sensational IPL 2023 where he won the Orange Cap, Gill failed to replicate his form in the WTC final as he could muster a modest tally of 31 runs across both innings as India lost the title.

With the imminent commencement of the enthralling tour of the West Indies, all eyes will be on Gill as he prepares to grace the cricketing arena once more. In light of several senior players being rested for the white-ball series, the right-handed opener is expected to assume a pivotal role in India's batting line-up.
