Bangladesh's world-class all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is in the news again as another altercation with the umpire has happened during the ongoing edition of the Bangladesh Premier League.

Shakib was leading his side Fortune Barishal against Rangpur Riders in the 10th match of the league when right before the start of the second innings, he entered the field of play arguing with the umpires.

It was mentioned that the bowling side Riders changed the bowler from Rakibul Hasan to Sheikh Mahedi for delivering the first over, which prompted skipper Shakib to storm on the field as he wanted Anamul Haque Bijoy to face the first ball in place of Chaturanga De Silva as umpires weren't allowing that.

What Fortune Barishal manager Sazzad Ahmed Shipon stated in the release

"According to the rules, after it is determined which bowler will bowl, the batting side determines who will take strike. In this case, seeing Sheikh Mahedi come to bowl, Shakib wanted Anamul Haque Bijoy on strike instead of Chaturanga but the umpire wasn't allowing it. Shakib entered the field to discuss it."

The left-hander was unhappy with the umpires but it remains to be seen if he is penalised by the BCB technical committee as he entered the field without any permission.
