Marvelous Virat Kohli brought up his 73rd international hundred in style against Sri Lanka as he brought up his second consecutive ton in the ODI format. The veteran batter was struggling for form until a few months back but his resilience has helped him to make a solid comeback in the blue jersey.

After his century, Kohli was asked about his knock where he mentioned that 'luck' helped him get past his 100-run mark and he would like to thank God for the fortune. He was further quite happy with the score that they smashed and believes that the score should be defended with ease.

"I had a bit of a break, couple of practice sessions before this game. I was excited for the home season to start and was hitting the ball well in the nets. The way the openers played also allowed me to play with the flow. We needed to get to a big score as the dew was also a factor. We were looking at 340+,

"I'll take those any day. Luck plays a big part. You just bow your head and thank god. I could have been out on 50 odd but ended getting a hundred due to the luck. It is important to make the most of it. We have got 30-40 runs extra that might work in our favor,"

"Mentally I am always available and fresh to give my 100% to the team."

India posted a gigantic total of 373 for the loss of seven wickets, chasing which the visitors are two down for 38 runs after the end of 10 overs.
