[Watch] Ashish Nehra's Outburst on Hardik Pandya After Shubman Gill's Ton Goes Viral

During the fixture against Hyderabad on Monday, Gujarat Titans coach Ashish Nehra was seen having a very heated exchange with skipper Hardik Pandya, where the head coach was absolutely livid with the way Titans lost their way towards the fag end of the first innings despite getting to an electrifying start.

It was all made possible by the dazzling contributions made by Shubman Gill 101 (58) and Sai Sudharsan 47 (36), who literally annihilated the SRH bowling attack inside the first 10 overs.

The duo toiled with the SRH bowlers and gave them some petrifying nightmares during the first half of the GT innings. At 147-1 in just 14 overs, the Titans looked well on course to get a very strong total in excess of 220. But that was not to be.

The dismissal of Sudharsan in the 15th over triggered an unprecedented batting collapse as none of them failed to register a double-digit score. Following his dismissal, Hardik Pandya barely had any impact with the bat. His lacklustre show with the bat has been a pressing issue for the GT team management for quite some time. Moreover, there were high hopes from Miller and Tewatia to go big in the death overs but they too perished in quick succession.

By now, GT had lost a shocking 4 wickets in the space of 28 runs which significantly hampered their scoring rate. Posting a total of 200 plus now appeared questionable. And, Nehra was visibly not happy to see his side lose momentum at the regular fall of wickets.

Whilst wickets continued to tumble at the other end, Gill eventually notched up his maiden IPL ton. Almost everyone in the dugout stood up to laud the centurion on his remarkable feat but Nehra did not express any happy emotions and remained seated throughout. Moments later, Nehra engaged in a heated verbal exchange with the skipper Pandya and blasted him following the dismal batting approach.

However, all ended well for the Titans as they clinched a swashbuckling victory against the Orange Army and became the first team to book their playoffs spot in IPL 2023. They sit comfortably at the top of the table with 18 points in 13 matches and await their next encounter with RCB at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
