Former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik married prominent actress Sana Javed amidst his divorce rumors with Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. The legendary all-rounder stunned one-and-all by announcing his union with Javed through a social media post on January 20.

Interestingly, Sania Mirza had made a cryptic social media post mere days prior to Shoaib’s wedding, where she shared a thought-provoking quote involving marriage and divorce.

As it turned out, the Pakistani cricketer dropped first signs of a possible split with Sania back in November 2023 itself, when he appeared on a talk show hosted by former teammate and all-time pace legend Shoaib Akhtar.

Back in November 2023, Shoaib Malik appeared on a talk show hosted by his former Pakistani teammate Shoaib Akhtar. During one of the segments of their near 45-minute interaction, Akhtar asked Malik to name five of his most desirable women in the world.

Malik, who was still married to Sania Mirza at the time, responded that he can name 500 instead.

Shoaib Malik married Sania Mirza back on April 2010 in Hyderabad, India. The two even have a five-year-old son together named Izhaan Mirza Malik.

Shoaib, who helmed Pakistan cricket as a captain in 2007 and 2008, represented his country in 35 Tests, 287 ODIs and 124 T20I matches. While he played the last of his near 450 matches for Pakistan back in November 2021, he continues to ply his all-round trade as a T20 freelancer in prominent global leagues.
