In the ongoing Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, wicket-keeper, batter, Mohammad Rizwan was denied a golden chance to reach his double century.

When he was batting at 171, Pakistan skipper, Shan Masood declared the innings, denying him a brilliant chance to reach the mammoth score. It was a decision which received a lot of criticism from the pundits.

When Sachin was denied a historic double ton by Rahul Dravid

A similar incident occurred, almost 20-years ago, during India's Test series against Pakistan. It was the Multan Test, and regular skipper Sourav Ganguly was injured, and in his place, Rahul Dravid took care of the captaincy duties.

It was the same infamous match where Virender Sehwag reached his maiden triple century with a six off Saqlain Mushtaq. India were well in command of the contest, and Tendulkar, as usual, was batting at his fluent best. However, the controversy erupted when he reached 194, just 6 runs shy of his double ton.

Dravid made a bold call and immediately declared the innings, with the Master Blaster denied a great chance to reach the historic landmark. Team India's innings came to an end at 675/5.

Later on, Dravid explained that the reason he declared abruptly was to have a go at the Pakistan batters for at-least an hour before stumps. Tendulkar, who was expecting to reach the milestone, looked baffled, and was angry with his skipper.

However, the two later sorted out everything as India went onto win the Test match, rather easily.
