Captain Stokes is impressed by the state of the art facilities at Abu Dhabi

It has been 17 long years since England visited Pakistan. December 2022, will see England visit the land to play a series in the purest format of the game. 

The English team under Stokes' leadership has reached Abu Dhabi to prepare for the upcoming series. The captaincy stint for the star English all-rounder in the longest format of the game has been very successful. The three Lions have won 6 of their 7 Tests under Stokes, but all of these have been on English soil. 

The chance of leading his team to a maiden away Test series victory is a challenge Stokes is more than ready to take on. But he is also aware of how tough it is going to be for him and his contingent in the den of the Asian giants.

The English all-rounder is also excited to return to the purest format of the game after England's successful campaign in the T20 World Cup 2022. In a recent interview, he revealed how grateful he and the team are to get the time in Abu Dhabi. Notably, the English team have been camping at Abu Dhabi and also played a long format match against the English Lions.

As quoted from IN News, Stokes was all praises for the facilities they got at Abu Dhabi. 

"We've been very lucky to be able to come out here to Abu Dhabi and use the facilities here before we head to Pakistan. We've been very spoilt. The facilities here are of the highest quality that I can remember since being out here."

"We've got the amazing net facitlities out the back and then with all the squares, to be able to have a practice game between the Test team and the Lions has been really good so hopefully we can come back here in the future as well."

England will be playing 3 Tests against England, the first of which will be held at Rawalpindi Cricket stadium from the 1st of December. The second and the third matches of the series will start from December 9 and December 17 respectively, while the venues for the two matches will be Multan and Karachi.
