A plethora of T20 tournaments will soon be underway, starting with the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2023, which begins on January 6. The Khulna Tigers franchise have added some firepower to their top order in the form of Pakistan openers Fakhar Zaman and Sharjeel Khan.

Both join fellow countrymen, Wahab Riaz, Azam Khan and Naseem Shah at Khulna. Zaman has played in the BPL for Comilla Victorians, while this will be Sharjeel's first outing in Bangladesh's premier T20 competition.

Last week, Sharjeel and Zaman were added to the list of probables for Pakistan's upcoming three-ODI series at home against New Zealand.

The Tigers have also signed Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie for the upcoming edition. They already have a star-studded international lineup with the likes of Avishka Fernando, Dasun Shanaka, and Paul van Meekeren apart from Bangladesh's own Tamim Iqbal.

The Tigers will kickstart their BPL 2023 campaign by going against the Dhaka Dominators on January 7 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
