Australia, ahead of the third and final Test against South Africa in Sydney, have their key bowlers unavailable, with the likes of Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green ruled out. Former Australian speedster Brett Lee has urged the team management to play Lance Morris in the Sydney Test starting tomorrow.

Known as 'Wild Thing', Morris has been a non-player member of the squad since being brought in as cover during the West Indies Test series, preceding the ongoing one.

In the Sheffield Shield 2022-23 for Western Australia, Morris has already claimed 27 wickets in 5 matches, at an average of 18.40.

Speaking to Fox Sports, Lee spelled out his preferred bowling attack for Australia's last Test of the home season.

'I’m actually going to bring in Josh Hazlewood for Mitchell Starc and I’m going to unleash The Wild Thing 2.0 [Morris],

"Lance Morris will come in and I will have Alex Carey bat No.6. So I’m essentially having Hazlewood, [Scott] Boland, [Pat] Cummins, Morris and Nathan Lyon. Then you have got an option for Steve Smith to bowl some leggies and Travis Head."

The 28-year-old pacer, who made his First-Class debut last year, exploded into the scene, picking up 20 wickets in a title-winning season for WA.

Australia lead the three-Test 2-0, and will look complete a memorable cleansweep over South Africa.
