Rohit Sharma's Reaction Goes Viral After A Controversial DRS Call Goes Against His Wishes

Rohit Sharma was seen bemused by the third umpire's decision as he was adjudged LBW (Leg Before Wicket) in the last ball off the 5th over against Wanindu Hasaranga. The Indian opener scored 7 runs in just 8 deliveries with only one boundary to his name. The prolific batting wizard is undergoing one of the most terrible outings with the bat in current edition of the IPL.

In the ongoing season, Rohit's batting average dipped to a shocking low of just 17 with only one 50 plus score in 11 games. In addition, the 36-year-old star batter has bagged an unwanted record for the most amount of ducks (16) in the history of IPL.

In pursuit of their target, MI openers most notably Ishan Kishan put his foot on the accelerator and gave his side a rollicking start. But their quick stay came to an end as Hasaranga struck twice in the same over to push the home side on the back-foot.

Ishan was the first to depart as he got a faint edge to the keeper whilst trying to cut the ball. Rohit was next to follow as he was struck on the pads whilst trying to work the ball away to the leg side.

The on-field umpire ruled it not out despite a very contentious appeal from the fielding side. At first glance though, Rohit seemed to be long way down the track and there was every possibility to consider that the ball would go on to miss the stumps. But much to everyone's surprise, the DRS technology proved our assumptions wrong as ball tracking confirmed three reds.

The on-field umpire had to later reverse his decision to out and Rohit had to depart. Upon learning that, Rohit was completely baffled and could not believe his luck. He was left in absolute disbelief and was seen staring at the big screen whilst the replay was being played. Disappointed and dejected, Rohit had to make the long walk back to the pavilion.

His dismissal did not derail the MI chase one bit as Suryakumar Yadav and Nehal Wadhera took the centre stage and launched a scathing attack against the RCB bowlers dispatching them to all parts.
