Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ramiz Raja has expressed his happiness to host England after the conclusion of seven-match T20I series.

Since taking over as top role last year, Raja has been pro-active in helping Pakistan Cricket grow leaps and bounds in terms of administration. A few days after his appointment, England cancelled the Pakistan Tour due to mental and physical well-being, ahead of T20 World Cup 2021.

The two-match series which was scheduled to played in 2021, were added to this year's roster, and both teams played a total of seven T20I matches. It was the first-ever Pakistan tour for the England team after 2005. The first four games were played in Karachi, while the remaining ones were hosted by Lahore.

In the last game of the series, England posted a total of 209 on the board, with contributions from Dawid Malan (78) and Harry Brook (46). In reply, Pakistan were restricted to a score of 142, with Shan Masood (56) as the top-scorer. In this pursuit, the Moeen Ali-led side sealed a 4-3 series victory.

In this regard, Raja thinks the series helped the youngsters to learn to perform in crunch moments and prepare well for the T20 World Cup 2022.

"We are privileged and honored to have hosted England here for this series, we are even sending them back with the trophy. It will be great for the Pakistan youngsters to learn from this series and develop their game. Wish both the teams all the best for the upcoming World T20 in Australia."

Pakistan and England will now meet in the three-match Test series to be played in December later this year at Rawalpindi, Multan and Karachi.
