The flamboyant middle-order batter Rahul Tripathi has been one of the cleanest and classiest strikers of the cricket ball. The Maharashtra-batter batting against Punjab Kings (PBKS) while batting for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) brought up his 11th half-century in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The right-hander took 35 balls to reach the milestone as he smashed seven fours and two sixes until that point to dent the hopes of Punjab.

The elegance of Tripathi was so charming that he came after the loss of the first wicket for SRH as Harry Brook was cleaned up by Arshdeep Singh when the score was just 27. However, he held the innings together alongside skipper Aiden Markram to do the job quietly.

In the end, he finished the match for the side while remaining not out on 74 as the Sunrisers eased home with eight wickets remaining.

Tripathi was knocking on the door of selectors for quite some time with his class and managed to crack it this year when he made his debut against Sri Lanka.

On the other hand, opposition's skipper Shikhar Dhawan knocked an unbelievable 99 remaining unbeaten when things were good for the side rescuing them to reach 143.
