Shikhar Dhawan Delivers a Scintillating 99; Takes Punjab to a Respectable Total

Shikhar Dhawan has scored over 6400 IPL runs in his career and has been a true legend of a game. He also became the Orange Cap holder in the IPL 2023 as he turned the game on his head with a brilliant knock of 99 in 66 balls against SRH. Punjab Kings eventually scored 143 runs with the rest of the team adding just 44 runs to the overall total. 

Shikhar Dhawan has been in great touch this season as he has led Punjab Kings with great swag and composure to win their opening two games. Punjab Kings were 88 for 9 at one point in time against SRH and looked down and out but Dhawan continued his fight and made sure that Kings don't lose any further wicket and are in with a chance going into the second half.

SRH, on the other hand, would feel that they have let things drift away a bit here. However, the pitch is good and SRH would be confident of chasing this down. Mayank Markade who made his debut for SRH bowled brilliantly and grabbed four wickets by giving away just 15 runs in his four overs. Other bowlers too were upto the mark but could not get the wicket of Dhawan who single-handedly has kept PBKS in the game.
