Kolkata Knight Riders' left-handed Venkatesh Iyer hasn't been in best of his form in the recent past, however, the Madhya Pradesh batter has come good against Gujarat Titans with a 26-ball half-century.

The Southpaw struck six fours and four sixes in his knock until the time of writing, as he is on 69 from 35 balls.

Chasing 205 in Ahmedabad, KKR had to deal with early blows as Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Narayan Jagadeesan lost their wicket early.

After the fall of second wicket, Iyer was called in as impact player where he replaced leg-spinner Suyash Sharma who bagged one wicket earlier.

Venky has the ability to anchor the innings which he showcased in this knock until now as him and Rana have taken control.

The left-hander has been struggling for form after he recovered from an injury which he sustained last year but wasn't able to fully redeem himself.

Adding to this, in the last game, Venkatesh was substituted in place of Suyash only against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as he bagged a three-wicket haul.

His batting has been widely appreciated by everyone after his heroics in the 2021 edition of the IPL where he took KKR to finals.
