It is fair to say that Suryakumar Yadav is in the form of his life. The dashing batter has amassed more than 1000 T20I runs this year and continues to dazzle us with some amazing stroke-play.

After a quick-fire cameo against Bangladesh, Suryakumar continued his form against Zimbabwe and struck a majestic 25-ball 61, which propelled India to a comfortable win over their opponent.

Even the Indian head coach Rahul Dravid was awestruck by Surya's performance in the last game of the Super 12. Dravid stated that it is not easy for any batter to be consistent playing at Surya's strike-rate. In the ongoing tournament, he has amassed 225 runs, at an astonishing strike-rate of 193.96.

What did Dravid say about SKY?

"That's why he is the number 1 T20I batter at the moment because it's not easy to be consistent with the strike-rate he is scoring at. It's been fantastic the way he's been playing.

He's been very clear with his processes, his tactics and I reckon he has worked really hard on it. One of the things about Surya is the amount of hard-work he has put in the nets, thinking about his game and fitness. He is earning the rewards for the hard-work on and off the field," Dravid stated at the post-match presentation.

India are all set to take on England in the semi-finals and the Indian team would be hoping that Surya continues his rich vein of form in the knockout stages as well.
