With the series on the line, South Africa's Heinrich Klaasen played a sensational knock of 119* runs against the West Indies in the third and final One-Day International (ODI) last evening to help his nation draw level the three-match series.

Klaasen, lifted the Proteas from 87 for 4, to 264 for 6, which witnessed the explosive batter record his second ODI ton in the process, coming in just 54 balls.

Speaking about his heroics with the bat, the 31-year-old revealed that his plan was to 'play the conditions and not the situation'.

As per IOL Sports, the wicketkeeper-batter also stated that he fine-tuned his batting in the nets ahead of the ODI, which helped him immensely during the chase.

Here's what Klaasen said

"To be quite honest, the rest was simple for me. We're trying to play the conditions and not the situations, and the conditions were fantastic to bat on.

"There was no pressure, even when I got in, to chase any sort of big run-rate when the conditions are that good. You just have to bat through and play each ball on its own merits."

The Sunrisers Hyderabad player hammered West Indies bowlers all over the park, slamming as many as 15 fours and five monstrous sixes during his stay in the middle.

Both teams will soon clash in a three-match T20I series beginning March 25.
