In a crackerjack of a clash between Bangalore and Lucknow, West Indies' swashbuckling batter Nicholas Pooran completed 1000 runs in the Indian Premier League off just 47 innings. Pooran has become the 85th batter to do so in the lucrative league.

In IPL 2023, after getting bought for INR 16 crores, Pooran has been fantabulous for the Lucknow Super Giants.

The left-handed dasher achieved the feat after scoring 10 runs against Bangalore at Chinnaswamy, smashing a maximum and a boundary to the milestone.

Pooran is going all guns blazing in the mighty chase of 213 runs. However, LSG have lost one too many wickets, losing three wickets in the powerplay and two wickets of late.

After losing three quick wickets, the visiting team got a boost to their innings from Marcus Stoinis' dazzling 65, but he lost his cool against Karn Sharma. After that, LSG lost another scalp in the form of their skipper KL Rahul at 18 off 20 balls.

At the time of writing, Lucknow are at 138 for 5 after 14 overs, with Pooran unbeaten at 40 and Badoni is standing on the other end at 13*.
