Mahendra Singh Dhoni is undeniably one of the most highly-paid cricketers globally, boasting an impressive net worth of Rs 1040 crore at the time. His earnings primarily come from his lucrative contracts in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he commands substantial sums each year.

Interestingly, an offer letter from his past job offer has recently gone viral, creating a buzz among his fans and followers. Despite his massive success and financial achievements in cricket, it is intriguing to see the contrast of an offer from the past, highlighting a different chapter in Dhoni's life.

Dhoni has served as the captain of Chennai Super Kings since the inaugural year of the Indian Premier League in 2008. Throughout the years, CSK has consistently retained him through lucrative deals. However, in 2012, an interesting incident came to light when it was revealed that Dhoni had received an offer letter from India Cements, a cement company, for the position of Vice President.

What caught the attention of his fans was the surprisingly low salary mentioned in the offer, which was just Rs 43,000. This old offer letter has now become viral on social media platforms. Additionally, the offer included a Dearness Allowance of Rs 21,970 and a Special Pay of Rs 20,000. This revelation has surprised many, given Dhoni's immense success and high earnings as a cricketer. It offers a glimpse into a different career path that could have been, had he chosen to pursue the corporate opportunity at that time.

What stands out is the connection between India Cements, the company owned by billionaire N Srinivasan, who also happens to be the owner of MS Dhoni's IPL team, Chennai Super Kings. Interestingly, the year in which MS Dhoni received the job offer with a monthly salary of Rs 43,000 is the same year he was retained by CSK for a substantial amount of Rs 8.82 crore.

The appointment letter, which gained popularity on social media, was shared by Lalit Modi, the former IPL chief. However, it is important to note that Lalit Modi has faced corruption charges, resulting in bans from both the ICC and BCCI.
