MS Dhoni Uses Virat Kohli's Batting As an Example To Discuss About Batting Technique

Following the conclusion of the 49th IPL match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI), former Indian skipper MS Dhoni was seen offering a batting masterclass to his players, citing Kohli's technique as an example.

In a recently released video, Dhoni explained how Kohli plays the first ball of his innings. The skipper was seen interacting with his fellow team members in the locker room.

“Virat doesn’t play the first ball like this. It is always here,” the 41-year-old was heard saying.

The footage from Dhoni soon went viral on social media. Only a small portion of this conversation was revealed, where he could be heard talking about Kohli's batting style whilst facing the first ball.

CSK completed an emphatic win over MI, beating them comprehensively by six wickets. It was their bowling department that made early inroads into the fragile MI batting lineup. Matheesha Pathirana stole the show as he registered his best IPL bowling figures of 3/15, restricting MI to just 139.

In response, CSK went about their chase very nicely and got to their required target with 14 balls to spare. Shivam Dube (26* off 18) did the bulk of the scoring towards the fag end of the CSK innings as he remained unbeaten to hit the winning runs for his side.

With that win, CSK have now jumped to the number two spot and bettered their NRR to 0.409. They will now clash with DC in their next encounter at home on May 10.
