'Maut Aani Hai Toh Aani Hai,' Javed Miandad to India

From being a cricketing fixture, India versus Pakistan turned into a huge geopolitical turmoil. It's not just that, both nations have cut out on having any sort of relations. Even their national cricket teams haven't played a single bilateral series in the last decade. Commenting on the INDO-PAK rivalry, the former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad has made a few revoking statements, undermining India's take to not travel amid the chaotic situation.

Before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Pakistan is scheduled to host Asia Cup in their whereabouts. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is against the thought of sending the Men in Blue to Pakistan for the forthcoming multinational tournament.

Reportedly, BCCI has settled the talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for hosting India matches at a neutral venue. However, various pundits and former Pakistan cricketers do not second it, among whom is the legendary Javed Miandad.

India have concerns regarding security in Pakistan. The former Pakistan captain does believe so but he has a different way to look at it.

"We believe that agar maut aani hai toh aani hai. Zindagi aur maut toh allah ke haath mein hai. (If you're destined to die, you will die. Life and death are in the hands of the almighty)," Miandad said in Podcast.

"If they call us today, we will go. But they should return too. The thing is the last time we went, but they haven't come here since. It's their turn now."

It is understood that India will play their Asia Cup matches in either UAE or Sri Lanka; however, BCCI's stand towards sending to Pakistan is firm.
