Royal Challengers Bangalore won an unbelievable affair against Lucknow Super Giants at Lucknow on Monday, thanks to spellbinding bowling from the RCB unit. Defending a mere total of 126 runs, RCB bowlers came out all guns blazing and kept pushing the Lucknow Express off the track throughout the innings. The wrecker-in-chief with the ball may have been Karn Sharma, but the inclusion of Josh Hazlewood indeed took off pressure from the team management's head.

The Australian seamer returned to professional cricket after a four-month layoff at Lucknow. And making his comeback game memorable, he bowled exceeding well both with new and old balls, snapping two for 15 during RCB's 18-run victory.

While talking about his special spell in a very special match, the right-arm seamer said:

"It's been a long layoff. I was more excited than nervous to get back. Bowling in the nets was a bit taxing day in and day out, so coming out here in front of good fans. The bowlers finished well at the end."

The 32-year-old further spoke about the tricky track on which RCB successfully defended 126 runs against LSG's explosive batting unit. Then, he spilt the secret recipe the visiting bowlers used to pull off the win.

"It looks like the wicket is quite slow, so taking the pace off played a huge part for both teams. So in the end, it was enough, but a few more would have been nice," he added.

Concluding his chat with the broadcaster, he thanked the loud crowd present at Ekana, saying the fans were passionate towards both sides.

"It was super loud for both teams, and obviously few guys in our team are quite passionate, which is great. It gets the crowd up and teams up as well. Exciting out there."

After Monday's win, the Faf du Plessis-led RCB have jumped one spot to the fifth position, winning five of the nine games played. Meanwhile, LSG have taken a nosedive to third place, with equal points as Bangalore off similar matches.
