Hat-tricks in the age of T20 and T10 cricket are becoming a common phenomenon, but it remains a rare feat in the longest format. Former West Indies captain Jason Holder recently revealed his dream hat-trick.

Holder's dream hat-trick consists of India's most destructive batters Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul. Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, Holder also talked about former South Africa international AB de Villiers, who according to him is the hardest to bowl.

“I'll go Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul. The most difficult batter I have ever bowled to, full stop, is AB de Villiers. Whether that be in a Test match, One Day game or T20,”

Two out of the three batters in — KL Rahul and Virat Kohli — are in action in the ongoing first Test between India and Bangladesh at Chattogram. Rohit is away nursing a finger injury, and remains hopeful of playing the second Test at Dhaka.

Holder will next be seen taking on South Africa in their backyard in February 2023, when West Indies tour the nation for a two-Test, three-ODI and as many T20I series.
