In what becomes a memorable day for the Tendulkar family, the son of the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar - Arjun Tendulkar scored his maiden first-class century.

Following his father's footsteps, the junior Tendulkar scored his maiden hundred on his Ranji Trophy debut, just like the legendary India batter, against the Darshan Misal-led Rajasthan team on Wednesday.

Although, the legendary batter didn't just score a ton on Ranji's debut - but notched a century on his Duleep Trophy and Irani Trophy debuts as well.

Earlier in the year, Arjun decided to shift his base from Mumbai to Goa; as the fast-bowling allrounder wasn't getting regular opportunities to showcase his skillsets.

The 24-year-old, who has played for India U-19s, made his domestic debut for Mumbai - when he featured in a Syed Mushtaq Ali game in 2021. He could only play two matches in that tournament to take two wickets at an economy at 9.57.

In the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the allrounder made his debut for Goa and played seven fixtures in the competition, where he bowled brilliantly to snap 10 wickets at 5.69 with his best of 4/10.

At the time of writing, the Mumbai Indians cricketer is batting unbeaten at 112 alongside Suyash Prabhudessai, who has held his forte from the other end at 172*.
