Hardik Pandya Takes Cues from CSK's Approach to Build Team

During a recent interview on Jio Cinema with Robin Uthappa, Hardik Pandya opened up the factors contributing to the unmatched success of Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in the cash-rich league.

According to the star all-rounder, the key difference between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings is their approach to building a team. Pandya believes that Mumbai focuses on buying star players, while the Super Kings nurtures lesser-known talents and later get the best out of them.

Here’s what Hardik said:

"There are two kinds of success you get. One is to get the best possible players from A to B which Mumbai Indians had or have the best environment for you to win, which has been CSK types, where no matter who players are, they find comfort there and then Chennai get best out of them, which is something more inspiring for me.”

These remarks from Hardik Pandya have stirred debate among fans, who contend that Mumbai Indians’ strategy of scouting lesser-known players and helping them achieve their full potential is what sets them apart and is a major reason behind their unmatched success in the tournament.

Mumbai Indians have long been renowned for their talent scouting system develop young talent, and this has been borne out by the emergence of players like Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, and Rahul Chahar, all of whom have been groomed by the franchise and gone on to achieve great success at in the later stages of their career.
