KL Rahul has achieved yet another stellar record in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper has breached the 4,000 run-mark in the IPL. He becomes only the 11th Indian to achieve this feat.\
He became the fastest player to reach the 4,000-run mark (105 innings), beating the previous best of Chris Gayle (112). Whereas, Kohli took 128 innings to achieve it.
A great servant of this coveted league, KL Rahul has been one of the most consistent players in the history of the tournament. Having made his debut in 2013, KL Rahul has proven to be a match-winner for every side has played for.
The period from 2018-2022, was arguably one of the best phase for the Indian batter. During this time, the LSG skipper amassed 3,164 runs, and even won the Orange Cap in 2020.
During the ongoing game against PBKS, KL Rahul also achieved the milestone of scoring 2,000 runs as a skipper in IPL.
The ongoing IPL season hasn't been productive for him. KL Rahul has struggled for runs, and has only accumulated scores of 8, 0, 35, and 18.
At the time of writing, KL Rahul is batting at 30, with LSG tottering at 62 for 2.
