Today, hosts India will cross swords against Australia in the decider of the three-match ODI series in Chennai. With the series standing at one-all, we expect a thrilling encounter at the iconic MA Chidambaram stadium.

Following India's crushing ten-wicket defeat in the second ODI in Visakhapatnam, fans and experts have shared their thoughts on the hosts' playing XI for this all-important encounter.

As experienced spinner Kuldeep Yadav has claimed only one wicket in the series, many believe the Indian think tank might consider replacing him with Yuzvendra Chahal in this game.

However, legendary former South African cricketer AB de Villiers thinks India will persist with Kuldeep, considering his incredible ability to bamboozle the batters.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, De Villiers even reckoned that the left-arm wrist spinner might emerge as India's wrecker-in-chief with the ball, given the Chennai track's conduciveness for spin bowling.

As quoted by India Today, the former Proteas skipper explained:

"I have seen Kuldeep Yadav bowl well. I think he'll feature in Chennai. There's a bit of turn. He gives that flight, takes it both ways. It's tough to pick him, so he'll be a force to reckon with."

Furthermore, the ex-RCB player tagged India the favourites to win this fixture, as the venue will suit their brand of cricket.

"I would go with India because of the Chennai wicket and how well they play there but never count the Aussies out. They are very competitive."

The third ODI between India and Australia begins at 01.30 PM IST today. After the series, players from both teams will join their respective franchises for the IPL 2023 starting 31st of this month.
