On Wednesday, hosts India will lock horns against Australia in the final ODI of the three-match series in Chennai. With the series levelled at one-all, the decider promises to be a nail-biter.

After securing a five-wicket victory in the first ODI in Mumbai, India suffered a crushing ten-wicket defeat in Visakhapatnam.

Although the outcomes of both matches were exactly the opposite, the Indian team had a common and familiar nemesis, a top-order collapse. And guess who the wrecker-in-chief for Australia was? 

It was none other than Mitchell Starc, who ripped the hosts apart through his incredible skills with the new ball. 

Also, the Indian bowlers were no match to their counterparts in the second game, as the Australian openers took only eleven overs to chase the meagre target of 118 runs. Mitchell Marsh took on the hosts' bowling unit once again, slamming his second consecutive fifty of the series. 

So, moving on to this game, India must find solutions to their problems, with special emphasis on countering Starc and Marsh.

While Mitchell Starc has breathed fire to torment the Indian top order, Mitchell Marsh has come out with all guns blazing with the bat to keep the Indians at bay. 

Furthermore, Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis also had a terrific time with the ball and would like to sustain their prolific run in the series. 

However, the focus will be on Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell and Marnus Labuschagne, who recorded failures in Mumbai and will, therefore, look to conclude the tour on a high note.
