Winning multiple Indian Premier League (IPL) titles is no easy task. Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has as many as five IPL trophies, four with his former side Mumbai Indians and one with Gujarat Titans, where he led them to their maiden title as captain in their inaugural season.

In the ongoing IPL 2023 season, the Titans look well on course to defend their title, given their team's combination and strengths, which could potentially see Pandya win his sixth trophy.

Only Rohit Sharma has six IPL trophies under his belt; one with the Deccan Chargers and five with the Mumbai Indians as skipper.

Other players to win five IPL trophies apart from Pandya are Jasprit Bumrah, Aditya Tare, and Ambati Rayudu.

Speaking on the GT podcast with Gaurav Kapoor, Pandya opened up about being among the few selected to win the IPL title on his captaincy debut.

India's potentially next white-ball skipper also spoke about not finding leadership boring and quipped about calling winning trophies boring.

"Not at all, I don't mind. I like boring things. Boring things are good actually. They say in my fitness regime, 'do the boring part most, because they're the most important thing. They're the most important exercises.' I feel if lifting trophies is boring, it's ok. Because that's the most important thing,

The 29-year-old further revealed why he himself attends all press conferences/presentations after the team's loss.

"I don't let anyone go out but myself because it's very important for me. A lot of times when you say something, you're perceived in different ways. I don't want to put my players into that situation where they go, and someone by mistake may say something and someone might take it in a different way and within my team, there will be a little tension. Which I don't like."

Pandya will lead his troops today against the Lucknow Super Giants at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, having won three and lost two games this season so far.
