Today, defending champions Gujarat Titans will lock horns with Lucknow Super Giants in the 30th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. Titans, who have lost two of their last three fixtures, will look to get the momentum and bounce back by emerging victorious in this face-off.

Promising Indian batter Shubman Gill has been a force to reckon with the bat for GT, garnering 228 runs at a healthy average of 45.60 and a magnificent strike rate of 139.88. Considering his recent red-hot form, fans and experts expect the stylish batter to have another impressive outing today.

However, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra reckons that Gill might struggle to get going, as the surface in Lucknow will be a tad slower than those in the other venues.

Furthermore, Chopra expected GT's Mr consistent Sai Sudharsan to work on his strike rate. However, he heaped praise on the Titans' rampant bowling unit for keeping the opponent batters on their toes in the tournament so far.

Here's what Chopra stated

"There will be pressure on Shubman Gill because this pitch will not be that flat. Sai Sudharsan has been very, very good but a run-a-ball. David Miller is brilliant and is more effective in a run chase,

"Gujarat have a very good bowling attack. They have Mohammad Shami, Alzarri Joseph, Mohit Sharma and Joshua Little. Then they have got Rashid Khan and Hardik Pandya is bowling his full quota of overs."

Speaking of Gujarat Titans, the Hardik Pandya-led side is placed fourth in the IPL 2023 points table with six points.

On the other hand, KL Rahul's Lucknow Super Giants are placed second, winning four of their six games. So, considering both teams are studded with some T20 superstars, a cracking contest is expected in Lucknow today.
