You Will Only Realise How Much MS Dhoni is Missed When He Goes: Eoin Morgan

One of the greatest captains and finishers, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is currently enjoying his time in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 leading his favourite Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Despite nursing a knee injury, Dhoni has led CSK impeccably in all six matches, helping them to the number three position in the IPL 2023 points table.

Former England captain Eoin Morgan, who has played cricket against Dhoni, said the wicketkeeper's absence will be felt immensely after he retires from the game. Dhoni, after CSK's win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) last evening at Chepauk, was seen chatting with youngsters from the Aiden Markram-led side after the match.

Speaking to Jio Cinema, the World Cup-winning skipper stated how energetic Dhoni looked during his post-match interview is the biggest takeaway for him.

Here's what Morgan said

"I think that was the biggest thing to take away from the interview. Just his energy around what he was talking about. It really oozed a lot of class, but also showed how much enjoyment he was getting from leading this group.

It's just great to see. They are very grateful for him as a leader. But you will only realise how much he is missed when he goes. And that's going to be felt. His impact of leading key players in the side and the key performers. They will miss him when he finishes,"

The former India captain inflicted a run-out, took a catch, and effected a stumping against SRH, reminding people about his unmatched skills, which several keepers find difficult to master.

CSK will travel to Kolkata next and clash against the home side Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday.
