It has been a merry yarn for Kuldeep Yadav lately with the chinaman ending the ODI series versus South Africa on a high, claiming the figures of 4-18 in the final match.

As Kuldeep continues to grow in confidence with every passing game, plaudits have come his way from fans and pundits alike.

India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also did not shy away from praising the left-armer, stating his ability to bowl at repetitive lengths makes him a quality wrist spinner.

Ashwin showers encomiums on Kuldeep

"I have always felt this about Kuldeep Yadav when we talk about wrist spinners. He has got this amazing feature to bowl the repetitive lengths that are required to do well in the long format," Ashwin said as quoted on his YouTube channel.

"He can land in a particular spot whenever he wants, and that’s a fantastic quality for a wrist spinner. That’s a massive value for a wrist spinner," he added.

The tale of Kuldeep's comeback

The 27-year-old returned to the Indian set-up following knee and hand injuries. However, he has become a regular feature of the ODI team, playing in the series against Zimbabwe and South Africa.
